MRCAT is an facility for the study of materials utilizing advanced x-ray techniques. It is possible to collaborate with me on projects for cost recovery of the time. 2006 Beamtime costs were $123300 for a total of 36 shifts. The per shift charge in 2006 was $3425 ($10275 per day). Six shifts is the minimum useable block of beamtime. Note that there are three shifts in one day.
For 2007, my projected contribution will by $72000 for a total of 30 shifts. The projected per shift charge is $2400 ($7200 per day). This is a projection based on the number of CAT members and projected spending levels. It is subject to clarification during the year.
