This is an image of the Whale Galaxy NGC 4631. The small companion galaxy is NGC 4627. The irregular galaxy in the upper left is the Hockey Stick NGC 4656. This image was a sum of eight 5 minute exposures with an Epsilon 180 telescope located in New Mexico.

The camera was an SBIG St-2000C antiblooming camera. The image was processed in iCCD with final tweaking in Photoshop. The image scale is approximately 3 arcseconds per pixel.
